Preparation:
Step 1
If using cannabis flower, decarboxylate it first. Preheat your oven to 240°F (115°C). Break up the flower into small pieces and spread it evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until the flower is lightly browned and dry. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Step 2
Grind the coffee beans or use pre-ground coffee according to your preferred brewing method. If using a French press or a pour-over, use a medium-fine grind. If using a drip coffee maker, use a medium grind.
Step 3
Add water to your coffee maker or kettle and bring to a boil. While the water is heating up, prepare your cannabis infusion.
Step 4
If using cannabis flower, grind it finely using a grinder. Add the ground cannabis to a small saucepan with 1 cup of water. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth or a fine-mesh sieve to remove the plant material, and let it cool.
Step 5
If using cannabis tincture, simply add a few drops to your coffee cup or pot after brewing the coffee.
Step 6
Once the water has boiled, add the ground coffee to your coffee maker or kettle and let it brew according to your preferred method.
Step 7
If desired, add milk, cream, sweetener, or flavorings to your coffee cup.
Step 8
Add the cannabis infusion to your coffee cup, starting with a small amount and adjusting the dosage based on your tolerance and desired effects.
Step 9
Stir the coffee thoroughly and enjoy!
